Why Customer-First Banking Sets Waterford Apart
From day one, I’ve felt like I’m part of something special here at Waterford Bank. It’s rare to find a place where customer-first banking is still the top priority. The way we treat our customers like family is something I’m proud to be a part of.
It’s not just another business transaction here, it’s about building real relationships that last. That mindset carries over into everything we do at Waterford, especially when it comes to supporting our people and our community.
Building a Supportive Culture Through Mentorship at Waterford Bank
One of the best parts about working at Waterford is the culture. It’s a tight-knit group, and that’s not something you see everywhere. The support from senior leaders has been incredible. They’ve helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I’m grateful for that every day.

What stands out the most is how open and approachable everyone is, from the senior leadership team to colleagues at every level.
Mentorship is a huge part of what makes Waterford such a great place to work. I’ve had the chance to sit down with senior leaders and learn from their experiences. They’ve given me valuable insights on how to approach business challenges, but also how to be a better leader and communicator.
This strong support system is what keeps me motivated and excited to contribute more.
Connecting with the Community and Supporting Local Business Growth
One thing that excites me is the chance to bring a fresh perspective to the table. I’ve enjoyed being involved with groups like the Young Professionals program in Sylvania and EPIC Toledo.

Organizations like Young Professionals program in Sylvania and EPIC Toledo are full of young leaders making a difference, and it’s been awesome to be part of that network and give back.
It’s been great to see how connected Waterford is to the local community. Being from the area, I quickly realized how many local businesses trust us with their banking. It’s great to see that kind of local support, and I’m excited to grow alongside these businesses and be part of what’s next for our community.
Our commitment to the people and businesses around us goes beyond banking. It’s about lifting everyone up and growing together. That’s the real difference when you bank locally.
The Future of Community-Focused Banking: Growing with Local Businesses
At the end of the day, working at Waterford is about more than just banking. It’s about building real relationships and growing with our community.
I’m pumped to be a part of that mission. It’s not just about me growing with the bank—it’s about growing with the next generation of entrepreneurs and business owners who are driving our community forward.
And even though technology is always changing, I know Waterford will always keep its focus on personal connections and great service. As banking becomes more digital, we’re committed to making sure it still feels local and personal.
As I continue to grow at Waterford, I’m excited to contribute more and learn from the incredible people around me. I’m ready for what’s ahead and for the chance to keep growing, both personally and with the bank. I can’t wait to see how my journey here shapes my future and the bank’s future too.
