Ways to Use Zelle®

  • Send money for groceries, rent, or other expenses.
  • Split the cost of dinner with a friend.
  • Send money for a birthday, wedding, or graduation gift.

Split the cost of gas on your next road trip or dinner with your friends – with Zelle® it only takes a few minutes!

How It Works

Once enrolled you can both send, request, and receive funds from other people. Money sent with Zelle® goes directly from one bank account in the U.S. to another, using only a recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number.

Funds are typically available within minutes when both parties are already enrolled with Zelle®. Consumers who are not enrolled and receive a payment notification or a request for payment can enroll through their financial institution or by downloading the Zelle® app if their financial institution does not participate.

Remember, you should only use Zelle® to send and receive money with friends, family and people you know and trust. Once money is sent is cannot be retrieved – even by the Bank.

With Zelle® you can save time, travel, and avoid sharing sensitive account information, opting to share a phone number or email instead. So, when it comes time to split a bill, send your recent grad some gift money, or pay the housekeeper, Zelle® is the way to go! Learn more about Zelle® here.
