Mike Miller, Mike White, and Larry Boyer welcome customers to the new locally owned bank.
After completing construction and putting the finishing touches on the interior, the new Waterford
Bank, N.A. opened August 29 in its new facility at 3900 N. McCord Rd. The Bank opened with a total of
19 employees. Earlier last Spring, Waterford Bancorp, Inc. and the organizers of Waterford Bank, N.A.
received regulatory authority to organize as a national bank and to operate as a full-service commercial
institution. Waterford Bank, N.A. was granted approval from the United States Comptroller Reserve.
The management team is comprised of three individuals, each with over 30 years of banking experience;
Michael R. Miller is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Michael W. White, President and Chief Operating
Officer, and Lawrence C. Boyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer.
Waterford provides a high level of service with experienced staff and innovative technology to deliver
financial solutions, noted Mr. Miller. And, our customers have access to management, he said.
Our focus is to serve business customers, executives in those companies, area professionals, and others.
We offer a full range of banking services including checking, savings, private banking, certificates of
deposit, residential mortgages, and commercial loans, Mr. White explained. And, we are driven by our
commitment to the economic and civic well-being of the community, Mr. Boyer pointed out.
The 10,200 square foot facility was developed and built by the Buckeye Specialty Group. Brian Arbaugh
served as superintendent for the construction. Steve Kline of Commercial Interiors was responsible for
the interior décor.
A receptionist in the entryway provides customers with immediate guidance. A four-teller station
provides convenient and efficient space for customers to make transactions while a series of new client
offices border the rear of the lobby. Behind the scenes are management offices, a large well-equipped
boardroom, and small conference rooms to meet a variety of client needs. We have the adjacent property
under option so we can expand as we grow. This building has been designed to allow for a second 10,000
square foot facility to be added as needed, Mr. Boyer pointed out.
