Travelling Abroad with your Debit Card

If you will be travelling abroad and planning to use your debit card, please let us know before you go. Your Waterford Bank, N.A. debit card is protected by a fraud detection system that reviews your transactions as they are processed and sends a notification when there are unusual patterns. Foreign transactions are watched especially closely. If we do not notify the fraul alert system that you will be travelling in a particular country, your debit card may be blocked until we can contact you to ensure that transactions are valid.

In addition, because of changing economical and political conditions, there are times when certain countries are blocked from any activity, even if you notify us that you will be travelling there. Below is a list of the blocks that are currently in place. If you are travelling to one of these countries, please make other arrangements for funds during your trip.
